Visitors & Contact.
Visitors are always welcome, but please try to avoid mealtimes as we get quite busy or why not book in to join your loved ones for lunch or tea instead.
Visitors accommodation.
For a small charge, rooms or a flatlet are sometimes available at the home for families to stay in when they travel long distances to visit their relatives during times of illness. Speak to a senior staff member or check availability and book if required. Also, the Royal Clifton hotel is located just next door.
Utilising Technology
For the times you can’t visit we have a Skype and Facetime system in place, where you are able to chat away to your family member, face to face. Staff are able to support residents with this technology from the privacy of our quiet room. This amazing contact technology has often brought a tear to our eyes when overseas grandchildren are seen for the first time.
We have portable phones available for residents to use free of charge even to mobiles! From the privacy of their own rooms or in the quiet room for incoming and outgoing calls where residents may struggle with the use of a mobile phone. Our activities team are planning to email a monthly Activity sheet out with events we have planned and what we’ve been up to.

Main Lounge and Dining room
Both well-appointed tastefully decorated spaces broken into smaller areas to suit resident’s needs. The large window frontage offers the benefit of natural light and great views of the kings gardens along with large windows and access to the pleasant secluded rear garden.
Garden Area
To the rear we have an enclosed garden with outdoor furniture great for summer activities such as bowling, crocket, skittles etc. or just to keep active and stretch your legs. We also have a small raised bed used for planting vegetables etc..
Smoking Shelter
We have a pleasant smoking shelter with good weather protection, chairs and comfy cushions, yes inherently flame retardant ones. Located in our rear garden it is available for residents, staff and visitors so can be quite a sociable place for those who wish to smoke. For added piece of mind, there is lighting and a nurse call system in place.
Mobility Scooters
We have covered parking and charging points for a small amount of residents mobility scooters.
Coffee Lounge
Where you can have a more private social gathering than in the main lounge. Make your own complimentary hot or cold drink and help yourself to complimentary cakes and biscuits or alternately ask the staff. We are always happy to make visitors feel welcome. However, this lounge is not generally available during mealtimes unless you want to observe our streamlined serving system first hand.
